To address the need for support with the implementation of the state’s new theoretical model of support for low-performing schools (LPS), the Southeast Comprehensive Center (SECC) is providing evidence-based resources and materials to enhance the implementation of the new system of support at the state and local education agency levels. Additionally, SECC will provide meeting facilitation to support the Mississippi Department of Education’s Office of School Improvement (OSI) as it provides training and coaching support and develops supportive policies and guidelines to promote the implementation of evidence-based interventions selected by low-performing schools.
The SECC is providing evidence-based resources and materials, including implementation science frameworks, and ongoing meeting facilitation assistance to support the OSI as it provides training and coaching support, develops policies and guidelines for LPS, and reviews the guidelines of P–16 councils.
